Mason is back in Calgary

Mason and his Mum drove to Calgary and arrived at Uncle Rick, Aunt Bev and cousin Darren's house late this evening. Mason is going for blood tests tomorrow (actually today now) and will start his next round of chemo on Thursday. Justin and Kale plan to leave for Calgary on Friday morning.

Time with family at River Park

Kale, Justin & Justin's Mum, Sandy, all had a BD!

Good family times! Broken camera flash makes for lotsa movement!

Mason comes to Moose Jaw for Kales 13th BD

Kale turned 13 on Friday. Mason and Jade made the trip from Calgary and took part in the suprize party at the MJ Airbase Rink. Kale had no idea of the party or Mason's arrival. It was a great time.

Another day

Mason lost his hair last night. He told his mum that his hair was hurting and when he tugged at it, it just fell out! His mum clipped the remaining hair. Mason simply took it in stride. When I talked to him tonight he was playing video games with his cousin. Childhood innocence is simply amazing. Mason, I love you and wish that I had your perfect love.

Mason went to the hospital for blood tests yesterday. Thankfully this is a painless procedure with his chest port. He is "neutropenic", which means that his immune system has been weakened by the chemotherapy, so it is once again very important that he remains free from bacteria and infection. He will go for more blood tests on Thursday and then, given that the results are good, Mason and Jade are considering driving to Moose Jaw for the weekend!
Today, Mason has been busy preparing his specialty - barbecued ribs! Mason and his Mum also made potatoes, brocolli, guacamole dip and desert. Fine dining for Mason, cousin Darren, auntie Bev, uncle Rick and Mum. Enjoy!!

And then we got a day in Banff!

Time out at the hospital

Mason was told that he could "go out" without tubes and play in the playground for 30 minutes, but he had to drink 500ml. of water while he was out. What would you do?
