Mason started round two of his chemo yesterday. He had a really good day, painting, doing some "dolphin art" and he and his Mum popped popcorn and watched a movie. Justin and Kale rose very early today and arrived in Calgary by 11 am! It is so nice that the whole family can be together for this Easter weekend. Mason and Kale are busy playing video games and doing that "brotherly" thing. They really enjoy being together. Mason had an x-ray on Wednesday and a preliminary look says that the tumors are shrinking! Thank you Lord. We also thank our many wonderful friends and family members for your prayers and support. May this Easter bring the healing and renewal that we seek. We are also thinking about and praying for our friend Joshua Hurlburt. Josh has undergone a second bone marrow transplant for Chronic Granulomatous Disease (CGD) at the Calgary University hospital. He has been battling this disease for about 24 yrs, since he was first diagnosed at 3 years of age. He is waging a major battle right now. You can get in touch with Josh on his blog site: http://www.joshuasride.com/ Please add Joshua to your loving thoughts. He is another very special young man.In order to keep our friends and family informed of Mason’s progress, we will be working with Jade and Justin to keep this blog updated regularly with news on Mason’s treatment. Please check back as often as you would like for updates. If you would like to send a message to Mason or anyone in the Clewis family, you can email: messages4mason@gmail.com. We thank you for your thoughts and prayers.

Another day
Mason lost his hair last night. He told his mum that his hair was hurting and when he tugged at it, it just fell out! His mum clipped the remaining hair. Mason simply took it in stride. When I talked to him tonight he was playing video games with his cousin. Childhood innocence is simply amazing. Mason, I love you and wish that I had your perfect love.

Mason went to the hospital for blood tests yesterday. Thankfully this is a painless procedure with his chest port. He is "neutropenic", which means that his immune system has been weakened by the chemotherapy, so it is once again very important that he remains free from bacteria and infection. He will go for more blood tests on Thursday and then, given that the results are good, Mason and Jade are considering driving to Moose Jaw for the weekend!
Today, Mason has been busy preparing his specialty - barbecued ribs! Mason and his Mum also made potatoes, brocolli, guacamole dip and desert. Fine dining for Mason, cousin Darren, auntie Bev, uncle Rick and Mum. Enjoy!!
